Jets to face Browns in showdown likely featuring two Big 4 QBs

Who would have thought the Jets’ sexiest game on their 2018 schedule would be in prime time … against the Browns?

But it’s true.

The Daily News has learned that Gang Green will travel to Cleveland for a Week 3 Thursday night showdown between two hot-shot quarterbacks.

Sam Darnold vs. Josh Rosen? Josh Allen vs. Baker Mayfield? Sam Darnold vs. Baker Mayfield? Baker Mayfield vs. The World?

The signal callers are yet to be determined, but this otherwise juiceless matchup will get plenty of hype in the run-up to Sept. 20.

The Jets and Browns will likely each have a top rookie QB on their roster during their Week 3 matchup.

(It’ll be the third straight season that the Jets have played in Cleveland, but this one comes with an intriguing storyline that could feature two hot-shot rookie signal callers.)

The Jets will be in prime time for two of their first three games — they will kick off their season on Monday Night Football in Detroit — but I’ve been told that the game against the Browns is the only other prime time matchup for Gang Green this season.

But it will be a doozy.
