WIMBLEDON champion Garbine Muguruza’s miserable Australian summer circuit has ended in more pain – a $ US5000 fine.

The Spaniard was penalised for unsportsmanlike conduct during a straight-sets second-round loss to Chinese Taipei giantkiller Hsieh Su-Wei.

The fine capped an exasperating Australian tour for Muguruza.

She retired in Brisbane with severe cramps, abandoned Sydney because of a thigh injury and was ineffectual in Melbourne.

American CoCo Vandeweghe remains at the top of the Open’s fines list, drawing a $ US10,000 penalty for an expletive-ridden outburst.

The New Yorker was breached the code of conduct with unsportsmanlike conduct, accused mouthing obscenities in the direction opponent Timea Babos.

Roger Federer keeps his campaign going today as does Novak Djokovic.
